REVITALIZING THE BLOG- Fall 2012 to Winter 2013 CON REPORT

Hey everyone! Sorry this blog has been on hiatus for so long... basically school work and life got in the way of RAMBLING ON A BLANK SCREEN TELLING YOU ALL ABOUT OUR SHENANIGANS! (but really, did anyone miss this?) As you may have guessed, this is Spark reporting on the eventful year we have! It will be broken into two blog posts: one of the fall to winter, and a summer con report!

1. Anime Destiny 2012 (Berkeley) [October]

***HIGHLIGHTS***

• Bean and Guavi tabled and displayed their awesome art! Dofu also slipped in a few Korra prints!
• First time we met Afterwinds, introduced by Terracanta (and a fateful meeting it was!)
• MASQUERADE WINNERS (again! 3rd time heck yea!) with "Evangelion Dating Show!" 
• Cosplay series included: Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Legend of Korra     

Nobody likes Shinji... jk we got Thai food after this :3 

1. Animation on Display 2013 (San Francisco) [February]

***HIGHLIGHTS***

• A WILD SHADOW-PIRATE and TRIXIE-HOBBITZ APPEAR!!!! Super excited to have Afterwinds join us as Sailor Captain America and Sailor IronMan!!!! Also LING cosplayed for the first time as Luna Fury! And let's not forget WHYMING as the beautiful Asami! 
• MASQUERADE BEST OF SHOW WINNERS!!!!!! Featuring "Sailor Avengers"!!!                     SO AWESOME! What an honor to win with such amazing girls! Many thanks to TERRACANTA for finding voice actors to use their manly voices to make it even better! <3 
• Cosplay series included: Sailor Avengers, Adventure Time, The Legend of Korra

BAC gathering: SF Golden Gate Park

Wow... it's been a while since this was update hahaha. And seeing that I'm probably not going to get any studying done tonight (OTL forever), I might as well see how quickly I can throw this one together and revive the blog LOLOL. As you can tell, I really suck at writing these things compared to Guavi, so much apologies in advance if I fail to entertain you. ;____;

After reading Yuumei's comics, Knite, we were both inspired and touched. Before we got together for this, Bean had asked us to "Consider what Knite means for you."

Each of us found our own meanings and reasons.

It was spring break, a time for all us college kids to come back home and do nothing of importance for an entire week. Time was ripe, we thought, for us to get together and have some more cosplay shenanigans.

When Guavi suddenly remembered the great location that is Alum Rock Park - only a five minute drive from her house, no less! - everyone got excited. Off we went on our second real photo shoot!

But are we EVER serious?

Everything was made from parts and scratch - those aren't real headphones. :D
