Fire Emblem Shoot: Spring Break '10

It was spring break, a time for all us college kids to come back home and do nothing of importance for an entire week. Time was ripe, we thought, for us to get together and have some more cosplay shenanigans.

When Guavi suddenly remembered the great location that is Alum Rock Park - only a five minute drive from her house, no less! - everyone got excited. Off we went on our second real photo shoot!

But are we EVER serious?

JESUS CHRIST IT'S A LION GET IN THE CAR

And so the adventure begins.

As soon as we parked the car and got out, we found a pretty little stream just under the bridge.

And so we settled ourselves down by the water and tried to get some pretty picchurs taken.

Wutcha reading there? Lul dun get

Did someone say picchurs?

"YOO STADY HAHD AN GET A+ OK?"

There were three photographers/tagalongs, but only two cameras. Naturally, someone is bound to be bored at any given time.

Ike is not amused.

"FSCK THIS SHIT!"

Here! have some srs bsns!

We tried again to get that "blowing in the wind" cape effect. Obviously it failed.

What's this? Tall grass?

A wild Ike has appeared!

"And THAT's how you swing a sword! With smiles!"

I have no idea what's going on, but have this picture anyways. Fill in the scenario to your own amusement.

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON UP THERE BUT I KNOW IT'S NOT GOING TO END WELL, AND THEREFOR IT IS FUNNY."

"Flower?"
"No."

Notice the creepy amount of eyeliner. Remember that.

THE HAPPINESS. IT IS BLINDING.

Bonk!

See! We are serious once in a while!

Now notice the seeming complete absence of eyeliner on Soren.
Ike is not a fan of posing like a cute Asian girl.

"YOU THERE, WITH THE CAMERA."

"RUN AWAAAAAAYYYYYY!"

Actually we just found a pretty bridge up ahead and got excited.

Hair slipping. SLIPPING.

Because a happy group of AZN TOURISTS is what we really are, of course,

We ran into this cute little guy named Scout.

"Look! Telrega is flooding!"

"Lol."

Meanwhile, in Creeperville...

Masterful coordination at work.

"To the right!"

"No, wait, left!"

"OKAY OKAY STAY RIGHT THERE DON'T MOVE."

We stayed on that bridge for quite a while, trying to compose certain shots...

"Will you just stop and THINK for a moment?"

"Don't do this, it's suicide!"

"NO REALLY COME BACK"

"HEEL IKE, HEEL!"

"Oh whatever."

In reality, all of the above and then some were attempts at getting something along the lines of this shot. We just fail really, really badly at making appropriate faces at the right times.

"Are we done yet? Can I smack someone now?"

"ONE MORE RUN."

The whole shoot was this close to being canceled. We almost couldn't get a camera; the weather wasn't looking too good the entire week; some people had transportation issues that were solved at the last second; etc. BUT SOMEHOW WE PULLED THROUGH, COMPLETE WITH CRAZINESS.

Next shoot: dramatic sunset, more tall grass, and more of our group finished their cosplays and joined in the fun!
